Volunteer Opportunities

Bright Days welcomes family involvement and volunteerism through sharing your Time, Talents, and Treasures. Specifically, we have opportunities to contribute in the following ways:

Classroom Volunteering

Volunteers are welcome to join our classrooms to work with the children in areas which interest
them. Volunteers with skills in areas such as art, construction, cooking, singing, or playing an instrument
are welcome to bring their talents into the classroom. Volunteers can also share their talents by
facilitating any of preplanned curriculum activities or reading in the classroom.

Adult Classroom Volunteers are required by state licensing to have the following paperwork on file before
they can assist in the classroom:

  1. Background Check (all applicable fees are paid by the volunteer)

  2. Immunization Records for TB, pertussis and measles

  3. Annual Flu Shot

If you are interested in volunteering in the classroom, please contact us to start the process.

Grounds Maintenance

Yard Work

Our large grounds are in constant need of raking and clearing away. We welcome volunteers to help with general yard work. Please email the office to schedule a day and time that works for you and your family.

Wood Sealing

We have an abundance of wood sheds, benches and tables in our outdoor environment which need annual sanding and sealing. We welcome volunteers to clean, sand and seal one or more of these structures.

Garden

We have a school garden which could use a volunteer to manage through our fall and spring planting seasons. Our young students enjoy planting and harvesting, but an adult volunteer would be helpful to manage the weekly or biweekly maintenance needed to keep our garden beautiful throughout the year.
